Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene.
"And today, the kick off was very humble as it was started by the presentation of South Sumatra Regional Administration to Dubai Port Authority Corporation, to study the cooperation opportunities in developing the port and industrial areas in South Sumatra," Sudirman stated in a press conference in the Directorate General of Electric Power's Office, Jalan Rasuna Said, Jakarta, Monday 12 Oktober 2015.
As related to the cooperative follow up, Sudirman admitted that President Jokowi had asked him to become the person in charge for the cooperation between the two countries. "My duties as the head of the team is to be responsible in bridging all parties that from time to time, good communication and information trade are conducted, as in time realizing the investment," said Sudirman.
He explained that the regions aimed and planned by the Dubai authority is Tanjung Api-Api. In this matter, Sudirman said that all preparations are being conducted, such as train, highways and the master plan.
According to Sudirman, Dubai Port is one of the best port infrastructure operators in the world. He mentioned that President Jokowi was very impressed by its leading technology development. Therefore, the government wishes to utilize the development of technology and management as its partner.
"President was impressed and wanted to utilize the improvement of their technology and management as our partner," he concluded.
